Turas Scoile go Búcairist
Tá rang na hidirbhliana i mBúcairist faoi láthair ar thuras scoile le Gillian agus Liz. Beidh siad ann ar feadh seachtaine agus tá siad le bheith ag obair leis na dílleachtaí sa dílleachtlann ina bhfuil siad bunaithe. Chomh maith leis sin, beidh tionscnamh múrmhaisithe ar siúl acu ar bhalla na dílleachtlainne agus tá siad ag obair go dian ionas go mbeidh sin críochnaithe acu sula bhfillfidh siad ar an mbaile.
Schooltrip to Bucharest
The Transition Years are in Bucharest at the moment on a school trip with Gillian and Liz. They will be there for a week and they will be helping out with the orphans in the orphanage where they are based. As well as that, they will undertake an Art project while they are there and they hope to have completed a mural on the wall of the orphanage by the time they return home.
Lá Spóirt in Inbhear Mór
Thaisteal scoláirí na céad bliana go hIinbhear Mór inné an 16ú Bealtaine chun páirt a ghlacadh i lá spóirt ann. D’éírigh go geal leo agus bhaineadar an-taitneamh as an lá. Bhí gach uile spóirt idir chispheil, rugbaí, rásaí sac, poc fada, peil Ghaelach agus tug-o-war ar siúl ann.
Bhí beirt buaiteoirí againn ón scoil seo; bronnadh corn don ‘Buachaill is Fearr’ ó na trí scoileanna ar Chillian Gorby-Ronan agus bronnadh corn don ‘Cailín is Fearr’ ó na trí scoileanna ar Niamh Bridges. Sár-éacht a bhí ann agus táimid an-bhródúil astu. Maith sibh!
Sport’s Day in Wicklow
The first years travelled to Wicklow yesterday, the 16th of May, to take part in the Sport’s Day. They got on very well and thoroughly enjoyed the day. There took part in all sorts of sport – basketball, rugby, sackraces, poc fada, Gaelic football and tug-o-war.
There were two winners from our school; Cillian Gorby-Ronan was awarded the cup for ‘An Buachaill is Fearr’ among the three schools and Niamh Bridges was awarded the cup for ‘An Cailín is Fearr’. This was a great achievement and we are very proud of them. Well done!
